Headshot of the model who provided this coment

Keith is wonderful to work with! Creative, receptive, respectful, and open minded. Would definitely recommend shooting with him!

I've shown my modeling photos in St. Louis area art shows, and I've won a few awards for it. I've successfully submitted my photos to modeling magazines, and I've even had a couple of them request photos. My work has been featured in magazines in the UK, France, and Denmark, as well as in the United States.

I'm not going to lie to you - I am getting older. And since Covid, I haven't been able to get around as well as I once did. So I decided that it was time for me to focus on the one thing I liked best: Photographing and training new models.

So here I am! That's my story! Contact me today to keep the dream alive!

What I've Accomplished

I've done all sorts of photography in the last 12 years: weddings, graduations, family photos, school photos, corporate events, and of course, modeling.

But the photography that I have always enjoyed the most is the creative collaboration found in modeling.

Doing photography for new models covers both my passion for photos and my passion for mentoring. I get new models to be comfortable in front of the camera, increase their confidence, and  give them tips and tricks for posing, what to look for in a photoshoot, and how to work with the rest of the creative team.

I've worked with a lot of people who had never modeled, and had never thought about modeling. I've worked with a number of models for whom I was their first photographer. And I've worked with very experienced models. I've loved every session.

What I've Been Doing

Saint Louis Modeling Photographer

Where do I start? Talking about myself has never been easy for me. So let's start with my passions: photography and mentoring.

The first one I discovered when I was a kid, learning photography with my dad.

The other one I discovered in college. I became a tutor as an undergraduate, taught classes as a graduate student, and learned I loved to teach - preferably one-on-one. After I graduated I found work as a textbook editor. I trained a lot of the new employees because I enjoyed it, and I like to think I was pretty good at it.

In the meantime, I switched to digital camera photography and found I also really liked taking pictures of people. I would often ask friends and co-workers to model for me.

Eventually two things happened: First, some friends asked me to photograph their wedding. Truthfully I was shocked that anyone would ask me to do that, but I was also flattered. So I did it, and they loved the photos. Word spread among my friends, and then their friends. Second, I got laid off. I took the hint and started my own photography business in 2014.
